This strategic move will not only benefit residents of Doig River First Nation, located 70 kilometers northeast of Fort St. John but also extend its services to hundreds of homes in 14 additional communities.
The deployment of the new fibre-optic network represents TELUS’ proactive approach to bolstering its wireless infrastructure, paving the way for future 5G technologies, and offering the necessary digital tools to enable participation in and benefit from the digital economy.

In a remarkable nod to history, Doig River First Nation was among the pioneers to receive broadband connectivity through the Pathways to Technology initiative back in 2011.
